Candle Care
• When lighting one of our candles for the first time, do not extinguish the flame until the wax has melted across the entire surface of the candle, to each side of the glass. This will help to prevent tunneling of your candle, and will create an even burn from start to finish. Depending on your environment, this can take anywhere from 2 - 4 hours.
• Trim your wick to 5mm before each burn! This will allow your candle to burn evenly and steadily, and will prevent soot and mushrooming of your wick.
• If soot starts to form on the inside of your jar, your candle is not burning properly. Extinguish the flame, wait for the candle to cool, trim the wick + re light your candle.
• Keep the wax pool free from wick trimmings at all times.
• Do not leave your candle in a draught. A draught will decrease your burn time, create an uneven burn, cause your candle to smoke + will diminish your scent throw.
• If your candle begins to smoke, flicker, or the flame gets too high, extinguish at once. Allow to cool, trim the wick + relight.
• Store your candle in a dry, cool place, free from direct sunlight. Exposure to direct sunlight may cause your candle to discolor.
